Telmo Faria

Telmo is the son of Portuguese immigrants. He spent the early part of his childhood on the island of Faial in the Azores, Portugal, where his father operated two restaurants. He then moved to San Jose, California, where he grew up in a Latino neighborhood eating well. Telmo was the executive chef at La Salette in Sonoma, Tropisueño in San Francisco, and most recently, the city’s beloved Tacolicious Restaurants. His Portuguese restaurant, Uma Casa, opened in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood in January 2017.
